Andrea C. Mohrle, MSPT, JSCC, CSC I
Andrea graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) from Pacific University in Oregon in 1997. She began her adventures in physical therapy working as a travelling therapist in a variety of settings in the eastern United States. After returning to the Pacific Northwest in 1999, Andrea worked primarily in the outpatient orthopedic setting, and was introduced to the Strain and Counterstrain technique by a co-worker. She began studying Strain and Counterstrain through the Jones Institute in 2001. This technique appealed to her because of its gentle, yet effective qualities, and as her skills improved, she found herself using it almost exclusively when applying manual therapy within her practice. In 2004 she earned her board certification through the Jones Institute (JSCC) and began assisting with courses taught through this organization.
Andrea has continued to develop her skills in Strain and Counterstrain through mindful application of the technique and continuing education in Counterstrain courses offered through the Jones Institute. This includes learning Fascial Counterstrain - a newer and much more specific form of the technique, which has the unique ability to impact all of the body's fascial systems. In January 2015, she began her studies with the Counterstrain Academy located in Portland, Oregon.

Since this time, Andrea has seen her skills with the application of Counterstrain improve immensely, which has increased her enthusiasm towards this technique and its capability to relieve pain and physical impairment. She continues to be involved with the Counterstrain Academy not only as a student, but also functioning as a teaching assistant. In September 2022, Andrea earned Counterstrain Certification Level I (CSC I).
